Users can benefit from the online documentation
available through the web versions of the instrument handbook and proposal
instructions. At a crude level, a user could bring up
a web browser and look through this information
during proposal development in the APT.
It would be better to integrate that information
into the APT and make it as context specific as possible.
For example, choosing help on a possible aperture choice
in the Visual Target Tuner could lead to the display
of information about that aperture in the instrument handbook.
Determining all the appropriate entry points in the documentation
and relating them to the APT is a worthwhile, but likely
labor intensive, task. Efforts along these lines
were done to link the proposal instructions to ped.
