Tool View

Tools provide a view of portions of the proposal. The tool view may not be complete. For example, the Visual Target Tuner's view of an exposure is limited to aperture, target, and orientation. Another example is that generic targets cannot be viewed in the Visual Target Tuner.

A tool can view a particular element of a proposal based on context. The context corresponds to a particular visit or exposure or target. Users can set the context at any time either before or during the use of the tool. Context can be changed during a tool session.

For example, a particular exposure can be selected from the tree or spreadsheet. The Visual Target Tuner can then be selected to display the current information about the target for the exposure. As information is committed in the spreadsheet view, it is reflected in the Visual Target Tuner and vice-versa.
