Tree View

The spreadsheet view is an essentially flat view of the proposal. A proposal can also be considered to consist of trees with different levels such as visit, exposure, and target, similar to the Windows Explorer file hierarchy. With the tree view, a user will be able to navigate through the tree and obtain detailed information. At each node on the tree, a user will be able to choose to either view the information at that level or expand or contract the tree. If the tree is expanded, the user can navigate to the next level of detail down the tree.

As an example, the top level view could contain an item labeled as visits. The user could elect to display visit level information for all visits. In that case, the visit spreadsheet say could be displayed. Alternatively, the user could elect to expand visits (i.e., go further down the tree) and a list of visits numbers would be displayed. The user could view the visit spreadsheet information on all visits with the highlighted display of the particular visit selected. The user could expand that visit on the tree to show all exposure numbers within that visit. If the user elected to view information about the exposures, a spreadsheet view of the exposures could be displayed, etc. It may be useful to provide more options than only spreadsheet views in the tree. Access to visual tools such as the Visual Target Tuner could be provided also where appropriate.
