APT ETC Task Administration
Task Objectives
APT will consist in part of a set of Exposure Time Calculators for
the set of often used instruments on-board HST, as well as those
instruments that will be installed on HST in the near term. This
includes: ACS, NICMOS, STIS, WFPC2, and will later include WFC3 and
COS. The ETCs will need to integrate well within the APT architectual
framework, as well as the overall data model that represents the
HST proposal. This team will be able to make use of the computational
techniques of the CGI-base ETCs, and of major components of the data
model from the SEA/Java-based ETCs.
This team will be responsible for providing the following deliverables
in the following order:
- A timeline schedule for this task (periodically refined),
including specific milestones
- A requirements document that reflects the specifications and
priorities of the Stakeholders group
- A design document using UML
- A plan for phased implemenation
- Source code, constructed according to the agreed-upon coding
guidelines
- A test plan to support verification/validation
It is expected that periodic reviews, both formal and informal, will
be conducted to assure the quality of the outcomes described above.
