APT Data Model Task Administration

This information is out of date.

Task Objectives

APT will need a data model that represents the application's (i.e., HST proposal) data model. It is envisioned that this data model will support Phase 1, Phase 2, and Archival Research. This data model will not represent the objects needed to support the APT Architecture/ Infrastructure (Control from the MVC model) or Tool specific GUIs (View from the MVC model). This data model should include a way of representing generic concepts needed by APT such as Time, RA, DEC, etc. The data model should be designed so that non-mission specific objects can be used by other projects/missions. This team should consult with Starview 2 to make sure the data model will support Starview 2. This team does not need to start from scratch and should look at proposal representation in the PP, Starview 2, and ETCs. This team will be responsible for providing the following deliverables in the following order:
  1. A timeline schedule for this task
  2. Pick a UML tool to use. This tool will be used by the APT project.
  3. A design document using a UML tool.
  4. Hold a design review
  5. An updated timline schedule for implemenation/test
